Vic,
Check out this random video of a game called Mass: We Pray! It is pretty funny. But, check out this post about how it is actually an advertisement for a very controversial game.

Is Bear Grylls a believer? I just saw this after researching Alpha course. It is the Alpha Conference and he is speaking at it?

Victor,
Have you ever heard of The Fun Theory? It is a awesome website with making life more fun than it currently is. For example, I just saw this video of how they changed a staircase in Stockholm into a piano in order to see if more commuters would take the stairs over the escalator…it worked. Makes me want to make like more fun….and ministry more creative!

Yo bro,
I don’t know if you have seen this YouVersion Live . I only got a second at the moment, but check the links for more info. It’s pretty awesome and will definitely allow for a different way of interacting with a group of students. Allowing them to openly express themselves, without necessarily being personally connected to the statement or whatever… (you can watch a webinar here, with a lot of great info about YouVersion Live)
Basically YouVersion Live is (from YouVersion Live Site):
1. Share content on mobile devices during live events and services.
2. Invite interaction through polls, notes, prayers, giving, and more.
3. Share results and include feedback in your communication.
4. Get people actively involved in the message.
What I like:
- All of it, it’s free and that you can make groups
I hope:
- that there might be some type of share feature in time
- that a collection of the “groups” comments (not only individual notes) can also be viewed on each verse as currently done in YouVersion “community”. Making it a community learning experience service as well.

Yo bro,
Check this…excepts copied from ( http://www.beloit.edu/mindset/2013.php ): Beloit College has released the Beloit College Mindset List. It provides a look at the cultural touchstones that shape the lives of students entering college...
Members coming to college’s this fall (2009)
…won’t be surprised when they can charge a latté on their cell phone and curl up in the corner to read a textbook on an electronic screen. The migration of once independent media—radio, TV, videos and CDs—to the computer has never amazed them. They have grown up in a politically correct universe in which multi-culturalism has been a given. It is a world organized around globalization, with McDonald’s everywhere on the planet… Everybody knows the news before the evening news comes on…

Yo bro, that is it – we got to be doing things differently.
I like the end (of last post), hinting at absolutes (right/wrong/truth) “in an absolute world”. Recently I heard an interview with Nicky Gumbel ( http://uk.alpha.org/tricia-neill-interview @ 9:25-12min into Nov 07) who has their finger on the pulse of this generation (proof is in the huge numbers of young Londoners coming to his church) and he recons that post-modernism is going to be a blip in human history.
Not that I think we will ever go back to pure modernism, but perhaps a “neo-modernism” or “post-post-modernism”.
People are asking for truth – and this is what I find here more and more in Vancouver. Anywayz till later.

Check out this video from Absolut Vodka…Ya, I know it’s alcohol but the message is something that we can all learn from. Especially when trying to reach people for Christ.
To reach people no one else is reaching you have to do something no one else is doing -Craig Groeschel

Have you seen Project Natal for the XBOX 360? I don’t know about you but i am blown away right now. The fact that we can truly interact with technology with our whole body in our home fascinates me. Watch this video as Project Natal is able to detect movement, physical objects and even emotions.

Check this Trend out FML. I was chatting today with a friend Nathan about FML and perhaps what is actually happening here is “a conversation”
FML is something that is showing itself all over the web (facebook, twitter, fmylife.com…). It’s interesting the everyday anecdotes and stories scream out real life issues; lonelyness, purposelessness…
For example:
Today, a cab driver had to sign me out of the emergency room because I didn’t know who else to call.
speaks of loneliness, the best friend is a fish?
So I guess how do we join the conversation? people are asking questions and crying out about real life? let not miss this opportunity, cause it won’t last in this format forever.
